United Site Services Collects 11,535 Lbs. of Food and Raises $6,941 to Help Fight Hunger

In the United States, one in seven people struggles with hunger, and many rely on food from local food banks to help feed their families. The holiday season is an especially difficult time, with many not knowing when they will get their next meal. That’s why United Site Services initiated the United Gives Back Campaign for FeedingAmerica.org.

Prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, each of our branches sponsored their own food drive to donate to regional area food banks. As an added incentive, United Site Services donated $1 for every pound collected by the branches up to a maximum of $1,000 for each region. Employees joined together, like the team in Mansfield, TX who donated their Thanksgiving Day gift cards from the Company to collect food for their communities.

We are proud to announce that our branches exceeded our expectations by collecting a total of 11,535 lbs. of food, which allowed the company to make a matching donation of $6,941.00 to FeedingAmerica.org.
